Well im 17 and just got my licence a month ago. My parents want to buy me a BMW X6 for my hardwork in college but im not sure if it will be the right car for me.

Do you think its a good idea?

If you are serious about your statements, then I can say that the X6 is an awesome vehicle. But it is not for everyone not just for the price but also for its looks. But it sure is a head-turner.
And also note that BMW will come out shortly with M versions of both the X5 and the X6. These would even be better and costlier.

Bad for them and the car when they are paying to fix it. New drivers wreck cars.

I think its nice, BMW in general are really good/ flashy cars, and who doesn't want a flashy car.
you're lucky you're parents want to buy u a BMW, my parents said no to the BMW i wanted, lol
But, i think its nice looking cars, the rear of the car definitely turns heads.
but if you want a car for speed, i would not pick an SUV, but for luxury its great!

As long as you are not reckless you should be fine. I drove one a month ago while getting my car its oil and brake service. Its a gas guzzler, big and fast. Handles like a champ. For (no insult intended) an inexperienced driver, I would get an X3 or Z4, practical or sporty.
