i would like to buy a compact SUV from mercedes but cannot seem to find anything other than the ML350 (which is too big for me!)

I stopped at my local dealer and took a look at a GLK that they had gotten as a pre-introduction demo. I was quite impressed by the size and by the features but they did not have any technical data as for final price and MPG numbers at that time. The overall size I would place somewhere about the Honda CRV but it seemed to have more rear seat legroom and sits higher than the CRV. The styling is very sharp with an aggressive looking front and yet pretty aerodynamic from the side. If it is not too outlandishly priced, I look for it to be a brisk seller in the US. I don't know if they will couple it to their blue-tec diesel in the US but that would be a great combination for this vehicle.

2010 Benz GLK350. It is a brand new model just launched a couple of months ago.
