I have heard that the X3 is quite expensive to run. I would like to know what your opinion is if you drive one or know somebody that does.

The X3 is the only BMW that changes every year. I have been in one and it is a nice ride, very smooth. As mentioned before they are 2 completely different vehicles. I would personally go with the X3 because I like SUV's.
