...adjusts itself to the way it is ? driven i drive it quite hard and husband is more sensible and says it never changes ie drops down a gear straight away after i have driven it and he starts driving it so so has the car got an inteligent gearbox or is husband just joking me

and yes i drive pretty fast but only when no cops or cameras are around and definitly not when kids or hubby are in car so yes

An automatic gear box reacts to the way you drive it. If you push the predal to the floor it will drop down a cog and rev it out to give you the speed you need. If you are a bit lighter on the pedals it will change gear sooner as you don't need the speed.
