i was just wondering cause that wat my dad told me

If it says in the owners manual or gas cap/door that it requires Premium gas, then it needs it or else it will cause engine knocking, if it says that it recommends premium, but it can run on unleaded then you can use unleaded. I think all BMW's run on Premium.
