If I put on a K&N filter onto my 530i what difference would the 0-60 be? The car is an auto e39. Also what would be a good uk price to pay for one fitted?
Thanks

You won't be able to measure the 0-60 difference it's that small. I replaced a very old one on my Subaru for an K&N and couldn't tell the difference, however one thing: Do NOT get an oil based filter. They can really mess things up. You can fit it yourself. Takes only 2 minutes to fit. Dead easy.

Like it's been said before, no real difference in 0-60, but it could improve your MPG. I have two K&N filters in my 2000 M5, and I gained about 1-2 MPG highway, not bad for $80 worth of filters.
Now, if you were to get the whole intake, you could possibly see an improvement (cone filter, heat shield...). BMW engineers are very intelligent people, and often do things right the first time!

You will notice NO difference at all in 0-60 times, a K&N filter is just a replacement for the factory one - besides which, it's a 2 minute job to fit, no tools required, you'd be mad to pay someone to do it.

god help us...

your beemer is a finely tuned engine... developed by ENGINEERS who know a thing about combustion and power... not some fool with an aftermarket bolt on...

ok, they look blingy... but i'd wager a healthy sum, all it will do is lose you performance.

you really want to go faster, and have something to show, then buy a supercharger... theres a new generation of ceramic chargers, theyre electric and will add around 15-20 horsepower...
