I have a 92 525i 5 spd manual with an acceleration problem. The engine runs smooth at all times--even during acceleration. However, there is a noticable surging when accelerating hard and the fuel mpg indicator osscilates in sinc with the surging. Surges are about 2 seconds apart. (good acceleration--dogging--good accel--dogging)
(A/C off makes no difference)
When just cruising along power seems consistent. Fuel pressure reg? Any ideas?
