the battery run out so it need a boost but it did not work I have done this before and always work, use different cables this time could it had damage something ? Thank you

Your going to have to add more information as to what you mean "won't start" are you saying it won't try to start A.K.A crank over. Or are you saying it is trying to start (cranking over) and it won't start up?

The cables your using might be to wimpy and can't deliver the amperage required to start. When using booster cables (wimpy) and not jumper cables you should try to charge the battery that is dead by connecting to another car and running the other car for 20 mins to charge the dead battery IF it can accept a charge.
