Recently a stone flicked up and smashed the passenger side fog lamp on my 1998 BMW Z3. I can get a replacement but does anyone know how to replace the fog lamp unit?

There seems to be some sort of panel underneath the car that you need to go through to get the broken lamp out. Any advice would be appreciated!
