...BMW mechanic!? This is ridiculous, but I put my mug of coffee on the dashboard. I did this because I had my hands full as I was entering the car. Just as I sat in the driver's seat , the mug slipped and spilled coffee down the front of the radio. The radio still works, the main button to turn it on and off still works, but none of the buttons work. I can still change the channels and volume from the steering wheel, but the buttons don't work. I took it to the shop, they said I need a new radio - 782 dollars. Is there any way to salvage the radio without buying a new one? It still works? I am sick over this. I just put the mug on the dash for 15 seconds, that was one expensive cup of coffee! Please help.
