...warranties better? The BMW extended warranty is more expensive and does not cover the stereo or navigation system. The private company warranty is less expensive and covers more items. My concern is that BMW may be more inclined to honor the company's own warranty with fewer problems for the consumer. Has anyone had any experience with the different types of extended warranties for the BMW?

I bought a used bmw with an aftermarket warranty and had the absolute hardest time getting them to fix anything. it was a mess. I ended up only having the car for 5 months before i traded it in for another bmw at a bmw dealership. such a hassle. i would STRONGLY reccommend getting the bmw warranty

If i were you I would take the coverage from BMW. I have a 750i that i bought in 2003 (a 2004 model), and i bought the extanded warranty from BMW because they will replace any of the parts with origional BMW parts witch are the best for the car. I would highly recomend the BMW extended warranty=).
