How much BHP does the BMW 1.6 (1996) and the Golf GTi 1.8/2.0 (1996) have?

The BMW weighed in the neighborhood of 1350, the VW in the neighborhood of 1285....for the VR6, the lower trims should be lighter. Unless there are severe traction issues, the Golf would be faster.

But it's still the slowest of all GTIs, vs the slowest of all BMWs. Do you really care who the winner is?
