Fun to drive ok on fuel, but not the best about 23-25 on the highway and 18-20 around town....loved the car tho, i dont own it anymore though

I have a 97 4 banger with the 1.9L engine and get 30 mpg combined driving. I have no complaints, it has lots of torque so you don't have to shift out of 5th even on hills. Spiffy car.

The old ones are tiny inside, so you better not be big. The new ones are a bit more roomy but not by much. The good thing is that because they are so small, they weigh next to nothing and are fast as hell.

The Z3 hasn't been manufactured since 2002. It was replaced by the Z4.

If you worried about gas mileage buy a older 1997 4 cylinder model. The newer straight six engines get about 20mpg average. Besides the waterpump issues they are very fun and reliable cars.
