TAXI KAR 02-01-2008, 12:08 AM But it has 200k miles :( Should I or shouldn't I? jerryk 02-01-2008, 12:09 AM let it go or prepair to spend 5-8k in about 2years it 11years old and with that much miles you are buying some one esle problems, look around ,for 5 k you should get a pretty good deals on cars Rainman 02-01-2008, 12:09 AM That's a lot of miles for a car that's expensive to work on. If you are 'Mechanicallly inclined" go for it but it will be expensive to take to a shop. Check for regular maintenance,Tranny fluid change, timing belt all the major stuff b-fore buying. Ask a BMW mmechanic. If it's not an old person driving it it's probably worn out b-cause it's a sports car. Good luck Jasmine 02-01-2008, 12:09 AM Waaaay too many miles. M S 02-01-2008, 12:11 AM 200k...that probably means another $7k-10k repairing it!!! Not that great a deal... If you do really want to buy it have a mechanic inspect it throughly for about $200 first...losing $200 beats losing $12,000+! Andrew M 02-01-2008, 12:11 AM Just remember that its going to cost you 3 times as much for normal maintenance, and 2 times as much for major repairs. The cost of ownership on these cars is huge, and could cost you a fortune even if you got the car for free! I turned down a bmw at a good price for this reason, and I am much happier with my Honda Accord. So it really depends: is this going to be a car you rely on, if so you may want to keep looking... but if you are looking for a fun car on the side and can budget in the extra costs, then go for it!!! ☆ Rockstar ☆ 02-01-2008, 01:24 AM Nah man....too many miles on it. Its been worn down. |
