View Full Version : BMW Window Regulator - 88 735i E32 - Window won't close?

On the front passenger door, the window does not go all the way down or all the way up. There's a strong clicking sound.

I've removed the door panel and can't see any cause. I don't see a broken tooth on the actuator, obviously the motor is trying to turn, it doesn't look like something is broken or blocked.

If you someone has detailed photos or instructions, that would help alot.

These windows go up and down on a plastic belt.
This belt has holes that the motor gear goes into and makes the window work.
If these holes stread and become broken next to each other the window motor will run but the window will not go up.
Thei belt is replacable but you have to remove the parts inside the door. If you have not done this befor get it done, as it is not easy to repair, but it is repairable.
